Do we know if Grace Hartley Howe maintained any sort of relationship with Emma?

This Fall River Herald News article makes Grace sound a lot more like the woman Lizzie wanted to be than an "Emma."

This is a funny read from the archives. There are 2 pictures of Grace's husband, Louis. He thought Emma did it!

I don't know where the original quote is. It sounds like a deliberate misstatement to squelch the conversation.
Emma is the one person who had a perfect alibi!
I suggest you interpret this symbolically: it was an unsuspected child of Andrew.
It was Farmer William in the Bedroom with the Hatchet.

Thanks for the info. Our local historical society is having a program on Louis Howe this Saturday, but I can't attend because I have to work!
Though the Howes were married and lived here in Saratoga Springs, information is a bit lacking on them, simply for the reason that his family owned and ran a newspaper that rivalled the local established paper. And while the library has the established newspaper on microfilm back to the 19th century, very few issues of the Howes' paper even exist any more.

That's really sad! When I was re-reading the Howe stuff, I was curious as to how Newspaperman Howe might have covered the Borden murder.

Also, just to point out the bizarre coincidences of names that occur consistently in this case.

Louis Howe, newspaperman, has a middle name of McHenry; then we have the McHenry/Trickey newspaper scandal.

Dr. James Hartley, Grace Hartley Howe's father, hates Bordens and leaves some money to an Elizabeth Whitehead who took care of him; then Abby Durfee (Gray) Borden's half-sister marries a George W. Whitehead and hates the Bordens.

Sometimes it seems that there were only about a dozen names in the entire area! But it always wants to make me scratch my head and go Hmmm.
