I liked the Artist work, He is very talented.
It seems the Doll shows Lizzies guilt though.
I tend to think of Her innocence, or try to

Yesterday somewhere on the forum here, there was a link to an artist who scuplted a lizzie doll. ( I'm still new at this, so i cant exactly tell where i saw it ) But otheres were commenting on it. If I can remember correctly, Big Steve & Kat And I think Snookums made a few comments.
Maybe they can guide you towards it.

She has a Smug look of Guilty pleasure on Her face.
Like She was thrilled to finally get rid of the thorn in Her side ( Abby )
Almost like a little kid who has snatched another Kids bag of Halloween Candy.
To me the artist really captured a look of Guilt & pleasure all in one.
It almost has a sexual undertone to it.
That is the main reason I dont care for the image.
Like I said earlier, I like to think of Lizzie as innocent.
but since I'm new in all my research, that may be why I feel that way.
Well Ive go to go and feed my pet Opossum now.
I'm sure I will have a lot of questions tommorow, since I'm starting Lincolns book

I used to have a wild opossum I named O'Perry, living in a hole under my fence, in a hedge. He was so ugly! He looked like he had been burned all over and then had scar tissue replacing his skin- all pink. What made him ugly was his nose was pink too, so he looked like a big rat.
He used to come by my front porch while I was sitting out there of an evening. He'd scare the heck out of me, lumbering by out of the darkness, into the light. We got used to each other tho.
I'd shoo him away. I do not feed wild animals of any kind.

He died in the street one night. Someone swerved to hit him.
Then another took his place, in the den, under the hedge. My dog had died by then, so we co-existed. I called this one Son of O'Perry The Opossum.
He lasted about 2 years. Then he was hit. Then the breed figured out my street was too busy and I think they all moved back a block. I don't see them anymore.

Thanks for your story about the Opossum.
I do Wildlife Rehab for the state of North Carolina.
Over the past few years I have rehabbed over 250 opossums.
The Forrest Rangers bring them to me, When they have been hurt or abandoned by their Mothers ( and many other instances )
Some cannot be re-released and I must find them pet homes.
They make wonderful pets, and are disease free ( contrary to popular opinion, Opossums carry no known diseases that can be transmitted to other Mammals. Humans included ( including rabies )
they are very loving & clean creatures. Myrtle my pet Opossum is 4 years old & uses a litter box like a cat. She's sitting on the couch asleep right now as we speak. I would not take a Million dollars for Her.

Opossums eat just about anything
In the wild they are scavengers, and eat anything dead. ( they are called by the american indian as keepers of the forrest )
In captivity they will eat whatever you feed them.
A balanced diet of for example Purina Cat Chow is best.
Myrtle my pet Opossum eats Cat Chow & she loves ice cream, sweet potatoes, French Toast & one of her favorites, Rice A Roni ( Chicken Flavor )
If anyone is interested I write a daily blog with ficticiuos stories of a Opossum named Myrtle, She goes to School, Camp, Does Cheerleading e.t.c.

I hate it when people purposely kill animals! I used to have Opossums eating in my garbage can late at night. I'd look inside and they would look up at me as if to say, "Hi, I'm just having a little dinner here. You wouldn't happen to have a Pepsi would you?" Cute little guys. My neighbor's dog evicted a mamma Opossum one day and she came wandering into my yard with some babies clinging to her looking for a new home. With her watching me I built her a nice cubby hole that she quickly moved into. I put a bowl under the water faucet and kept it filled for her. I love animals.

The Lizzie doll is a bit much.

I understand what the Artist is doing and why. I just can't imagine Lizzie doing that. It is a very nice piece of art.

Thanks for sharing your blog and Myrtle with us, Matt, she looks so sweet. Most of the Opossums that I come across are usually hissing and spitting at me like an angry cat. Oh, and SweetPea is a little doll! So, are Opossums more like a having a pet cat? Or, are they more like a guinea pig or rat? Such an interesting pet to have, Myrtle must be quite a conversation piece. Do all the neighborhood kids like to come around and see Myrtle and the gang?

I must say Myrtle is Quite the celebrity in the neighborhood & around town
I take her also to work with me sometimes.
She is more like a Cat, as far as a pet is concerned.
She is very loving and freindly,
When you hold Her like a Baby, She will gently Nibble on your ear.
When Myrtle was injured I got numerous phone calls & e-mails with people inquiring about her recovery.
People often come by the House with their Children to see the opossums & I do show & tell at local elementary schools & the western North Carolina Nature Centers.
Opossums have a Bad rap & I try to educate prople of their gentleness & such.
