Yea, How about that Mundo?

For anyone intersted in all things "Lizzie Borden" posted by the "Queen of Lizzie Borden Pop Culture" one must search out Mondo.

Being relatively new to computers and having my acquaintance with other blogs on the net, some of which are pure rubbish, not to mention vulgar and offensive, I was surprise with Mondo.

Most recently I have been excited about tuning in to Stefani's music. A nice break---- a "Listen while you browse approach." Love Damien Rice and was pleasnatly surprise to see the clip. Of course,if it's just Lizzie you want you just skip the music. But how can you skip that Tiny Tim video.

So, though I was skeptical and concern at first that perhaps this "museum site" would have been somewhat trashed by mondo I was wrong.

Mondo is now the first thing I review before checking into the forum. I may read it or just skim through it. Either way, it has become a required staple in my consumtion of all things Lizzie.

That being said, I see very little posted here on the forum about Mondo and was just curious what everyone thought about the site, and even the mucic? And who are the Beatles anyway?

I loved the Tiny Tim video clip.
I loved the song and his rendition!
The Rowan & Martin google eyes they made at him were not so funny.

Yes Kat: As you can see I spell MONDO as MUNDO. MUNDO is the way we spell it in Portuguese.

Yes, I thought the music a nice little distraction. Of course the only problem is I have dial up and it takes almost a half hour to down load the music. So while the music is downloading I browse the forum.....

I'm just surprised that we don't see more opinion or review of the topics brought up on MONDO here on the forum. Some are very interesting and I wonder how Stefani does it or finds some of the material found on the site.

At first I know that some here on the forum were a little suspect of the Blog and did not think it a good idea. At the time I did not know enough or what a blog even was. But I think it a good idea, a lot of work or course, but a dynamic source for news about the Borden case or should I say "all things Lizzie".

oh yes and enjoyed your photos on your trip to FR.

Well, I trust Stefani as pretty professional, so I wasn't worried about a new endeavour, even if others knew more about *Blogs* than I did.

Great Post on Mundo Stefani: You hit the nail right on the head------- but for me, being from that dysfunctional but well loved city, you did not bury it; the nail that is.

Of course my comment here will be short. If I was to follow down the list and slowly decend that ladder adding my sentiments to each post, I would crash this site.

So, I will just critique just one:

It's pronounced "Faw Re'fva," and if you are a Portuguese immigrant, such as my Dad, it would be "Fa Reeva,: with the "R" from the throat.

Well, ga'ra get in my Caah now and go pick up my Chourico Grinder at Highland Pizza from the Greek Lady.

Just checked out the trailer for The Curse of Lizzie Borden . It looks like it follows all the guidelines for the horror genre and should please that intended audience.

It's obviously not designed to reflect a true representation of the crime -- therefore errors such as the teacher/professor telling the class that Lizzie's name was 'Elizabeth' shouldn't grate on anyone not steeped in the case but will still make forum members cringe.

The trailer does seem to give away a lot so I'm intrigued as to where else the plot could go and am looking forward to Stef's review on MondoLizzie.com.

I may order it too, just because it's always fun to see which myths about the murders still have enough life to re-emerge in yet another guise.

Hey Kat: Don't think anyone here watches those mucic clips on Mundo, but I know you do. How about that old, very early, Moody Blue clip. Coul huh?

The boys look so young, and that Justin Hayward, What a hot handsome dude. (as we would say in the 70s) As Justin got older his voice got better. The Moody Blues were never a "tight" sounding band live. The music in the clip is very crude but acceptable for it's time. Still love it.

The angle is much behind Mike Pinder on the key boards and of Ray Thomas. These were two of the founding members, along with Laine and Warwick of the Moody's when they did "Go Now." But soon after came Justin Hayward and John Lodge, to replace Warwick and Laine, and the Moody Blues we know today.

Not up on my Trivia, but other than the Stones, the Moody Blues are one of the longest lasting rock bands from the 60s. Mike Pinder left the band long ago and Ray Thomas followed. Rumors are that Ray has been ill for years. The Moody's now are generally, Justin, John, and Graeme. Most of the Moody's hits were written by Justin and today Justin is the Moody Blues.

Great clip, don't see much of Graeme Edge on the drums, and I love the way the Roadie is just standing around in the back ground, leaning against the wall, and the drinks on Pinder's keyboards: think that's water?

I know you like the Moody's and they are my favorite all time rock band. Just wanted to share it with you Kat.
