AX on top of roof 1 year later?

What is the story with the AX that was found on a roof one year later? Was it on the Borden house roof or a neighbors roof? I know it was never tested for blood but did it even have any blood on it from the looks of it or was it just put up there as a joke?

That's always really fascinated me, and there seems to be so much conflicting info about it. They say it was rusted, but still had some gold residue on it. It had been up there too long to have any possible remaining blood on it. It seems to me that it should have made a huge splash in the news when they found it and caused a big uproar, but it seems there was just an article or two in the paper. Then it kind of disappeared and no one knows where it went. I find that very odd.

I did not even think about all the Rain & snow . In a years time it would of washed everything off (if there was anything).
