I went to Big Lots today. I dropped my pen and when I leaned down to pick it up I found a dollar bill on the floor. I picked it up and put it in my purse.
About an hour later I was at Steinmart and bought a straw purse. The total with tax ended in .88. Then I went to Publix Supermarket and the total there ended in .88.
When I got home, I unfolded the dollar bill I had found and in the middle of the serial number was 8888.
Before I knew about the dollar bill, someone overheard me commenting on my purchases as all ending in 88 and said I should bet the lottery. They said they were going to Vegas in a week.
I didn't think about gambling on any 8's at the time but when I saw those 4 "8"'s in a row on that dollar bill, I started to wonder!
Does this imply anything to anyone?
What meaning would this have for you?
Just syncronicity? Coincidence?

I wouldn't read too much into the occurrence, it was random chance. The problem lies in trying to project past events onto the future to make a prediction of some sort. It was an unusual event, but how many of us would be likely to notice if it happened to us? How odd is it for the price of every item we put into our shopping cart to end in X.99? The number 8 stood out because it repeated, it was a string of 8s. We wouldn't give two non-consecutive 8s in a string of numbers a second thought.
I hate to bring it up, but if you are really thinking it means something, please stay home today! Aces and eights were bad luck for Wild Bill Hickock in Deadwood many years ago. Two pair, aces and eights, all clubs and spades, are known as the "dead man's hand". How many 1s were in the the totals and the serial number?
