That is really awesome news Jeff if it is real. Get as many facts as you can. Wow you are lucky to have an oportunity to see an example of the artwork that Lizzie and Emma enjoyed. Make him an offer for it.
Can't wait to see pictures posted of it. Makes me wonder what other treasures of lizzie's are still out there just waiting to be discovered. Fellow Fall Riverites....time to clean out those attics and cellars.

Wow! Thanks for posting that, Jeff. It's incredible. I wonder what the subject is - landscape? Still life? I wonder if it's colorful. I'd think Lizzie would go toward a colorful one, while Emma might have preferred a more sombre one. Maybe they split the difference and had a floral done in charcoal.

WOW! What a treasure, if it is real. What kind of work did his grandfather do at Maplecroft? Did his grandfather share any stories with him or his family about Maplecroft, Lizzie and/or Emma? This is so exciting!

It is here!!! The man brought the picture here yesteray and is letting me hold on to it for a week or two to show people and take pictures of it!!
The painting ironic in the sense that it kind of symbolizes her life after the murders. It is called "Alone". It depicts a young girl sitting in a row boat
along the dock w/ her head hanging down. Sounds like Lizzie to me LOL
It also has a note that was found on the back of it stating "This picture
was framed for the home of Lizbeth and Emma Borden of Fall River,
Mass. It also has some other stuff written, but it is hard to read,
but was able to make out the title of the painting

Jeff, this sounds like the real thing! How exciting!
The title of the painting puts shivers up and down my back; it is so sad, since, Lizbeth really did spend the last years of her life, very much alone.
