Is it true that Andrew Borden had an illegitimate son William who committed suicide 2 years after the murders?

There's absolutely NO PROOF that William was AJ Borden's son. It's an interesting story, but it appears to be only that. No hard evidence has ever been found that proves a relationship existed between the two men.

You may hear otherwise from some posters, but I think if you look into it, you will find the above to be true.

William S. Borden was a real person, who committed suicide, and he was related to Andrew J. Borden, however, there is no evidence, whatsoever, to support the theory that William was the illegitimate son of Andrew. I far as I know, the theory of William S. Borden being Andrew's illegitimate son came from Arnold Brown's book: Lizzie Borden, The Legend, The Truth, and Final Chapter.

uh, oh! Hope Cheryl did not begin her studies of the Borden case by reading "BROWN"?????

Anyone interested in the case and wanting to read about it would be causing themselves all sorts of grief and confusion by reading Arnold Brown.

My recommendation would be to read Radin, Lincoln, Sullivan and Kent. This will give you a good introduction of the facts along with the personal authors' scenario.

Then I would move onto Rebello and/or the inquest. When I thought I had a good grasp on the particulars, details and aspects of the trial, and only then, would I recommend reading Arnold Brown.

Brown's course of events is so different than all the other authors and is seen by many, if not most, bizarre.

I ran across a site that ran a whole host of theories, this being one of them...never heard the name before except on this site...think it's called Dead Men Do Tell Tales.

Seemed way out there, but wanted to see what you guys thought. The site mentioned that he committed suicide a couple or a few years later,
certainly not 9.
