I have "Great Expectations"

Post by Harry »

To the tune of $15 million dollars! So says this latest e-mail I received this morning:

"Legal notice from James Ellis & Co.
London WC2A 3LH U.K.

A DEPOSIT BOX HAS BEEN TRACED TO YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.

I work for James Ellis & Co., a U.K. law firm that arranges asset management and storage of special valuables for reputable clients.

We have information concerning of the availability of a deposit box with a
Vaults Storage Company which has been listed in your name which your email address won. A benefactor made you the beneficiary of the deposit box which contains US15,000,000.00. The lease on the Safe deposit box has expired and no further rental payments or claims have since been made since dormancy. ... "

This along with the $15 million I'm to get from a bank in Nigeria. Life is good! All they want is my bank account information. That seems reasonable.

Now I can buy Maplecroft!

I wonder how many people actually fall for this kind of nonsense. Is there anyone who hasn't received these kind of e-mails?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if these scammers were forced to live up to this scam by actually producing this 15 million and giving it to you as they claim they will? I bet that would put a stop to these scams.

People actaully fall for this stuff! I heard that millions of dollars are lost each year in this country alone to these scams. It's amazing that there are so many stupid people here in this country. Fortunately none of them have invaded Washington DC or we would be in trouble...

So I'm watching TV in my dorm and on comes a commercial.... "You could win $15,000 dollars for answering this question!" "What is the Capitol of the United States....Miami....or Washington DC...." "Text the answer to 3753....if you are correct, you win $15,000!!!"

Looks like my $15,000 should be on it's way!

Harry, those e-mails you got are too funny!
