Trail of blood

Post by snokkums »

I was going thru the archives, and came arcoss something. I was wondering why there was a lack of a trail of blood. With all that axeing going on I am surprised that whom ever killed Andrew and Abby didn't walk thru the blood or something. Any clues or suggetions?

I have often wondered this myself, Snokks. It would seem that blood would have dripped off the hatchet and made a trail from the crime scene to the "hideout" if it was an intruder. But, whether it was an intruder or not the killer could have wrapped the weapon in a rag or cloth. It was obvious that it was not cleaned-off on Abby's or Andrew's clothes. Perhaps the drops were there but the police didn't look hard enough.

I think with the multi colored rugs upstairs, it would have been easy to miss any blood spots, especially after so many people walked through them. Same for downstairs.

But, weren't there some floors somewhere? LIke the kitchen, or the bathroom or something? The hatchetand Lizzie(if she did it) would have had to clean up somewhere, with water, probably in the kitchen.

I'm not sure about the floors, but they'd be easier to not only see the blood, but also to clean up.
