Jackson, Michigan

Post by augusta »

I have come across the mention of "Jackson, Michigan" in my Lizzie readings but can't remember where I read it at. Which means I can't remember what the tie-in was with Jackson, MI and Lizzie. I think there are someone's papers there. I've come across it at least twice. (I probably read the same book over...) Anyone know?

You have given me something to look into. I have never heard or read anything pertaining to Jackson Mississippi and Lizzie. Guess I need to start looking into it. Sorry I can't be of more help.

The only thing I could find was a letter in the Knowlton papers, HK322, on page 328 from the "Pastor's Study, First Congregational Church, Jackson, Michigan" dated June 28, 1893, signed William Curtis Stiles.

It congratulates Knowlton on his performance at the trial.

Thanks, Harry. I don't think it was that. I think I read that in some library there they have some record / paper(s) regarding someone. For some reason I have Dr. Bowen in mind, but that may not be so. I've read this more than once.

It is Jackson, Michigan Snookums; not Mississippi.

I came across in my reading today that Dr. Bowen got one of his degrees at the U of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. You don't always read that in write-ups on Bowen. Jackson, Mich., may be connected somehow. But it's not terribly close to Ann Arbor.
