Your right Bob. Any photo of Andrew is acceptable as a respectable image of the man. (Well, maybe not the one of him al chopped up)
The reason I like this one is as you said "what thoughful kindly eyes".
After many of the callous or unkind things said about Andrew Borden in books, of how cheap he was etc., this image makes him look like a more sympathetic figure.
This portrait just paints him in a very different light for me.
I just feel he has been treated unfairly in history. Labeled as a miser, he did give his daughters a house, then purchased it back at fair market value. That would be like my parents giving me and my brother a 120,000 dollars each in today's money......
