Pippi, your turkey in the next to last Hatchet was good, I thought. When my daughter saw it (she is now a substitute teacher and in the fall will be a 'real' teacher), she was telling me how very talented you are. She's trained in child skills, you know, and she said it was "really, really good!"
I thought you should know that.
I also liked your drawing of the old woman with a purse two issues back. I didn't understand why it was there, tho, because the woman was a modern-day woman, not Victorian. Can you tell me why you sent it in to The Hatchet? I'm very curious about it. Is it supposed to be Abby Borden today or have some special significance to it?
My daughter said, "Wow!" when I showed it to her. It is good. Are you thinking of being a cartoonist? I hope so. Great work, Pippi!
