I was on the crime library website looking at the lizzie case, and came across this. It's in the 13th chapter of the book they had on theories of saying Lizzie didn't do it. The book was written by a guy named Radin.

The theory goes "In the process of debuking Pearson, Radin builds a cas against Bridget the maid as the murderess. According to Radin, Bridget, ordered to wash windows on the hottest day of the year, went mad, and hacked Mrs. Borden to death. she then murdered Mr. Borden to prevent him from reporting the hypothesized arguement that Bridget had had with Mrs. Borden in the morning, for such a report would incrimate her."

Now, that theory is off the chain. Even I can't defend that one a might maybe theory.

I've heard of this theory before, but it also gave another reason Bridget might be responsible was because she was upset that the Borden's always addressed her as Maggie.

According to Mrs. Churchill, the Bordens' windows were washed more or less weekly and Thursday was the usual day. I think that the Kelleys' girl next door was washing their windows that morning, too.

Bridget herself testified that only Emma and Lizzie called her Maggie and it didn't bother her at all.

I've the theory of her being upset because the bordens called her maggie, and then I have heard that she wasn't upset by it.
