The first issue of the Hatchet 2008 is almost ready. Just a few days more to wait.

Sorry for the delay, but this issue is so jam packed, it is taking longer than expected to produce.

I will be emailing subscriptions renewals on Friday, Feb. 8th.

Subscriptions are the same low price of $20 for four issues for the ONLINE version (PDF download). One day after the subscribers have access to the new issue, I will post the issue for sale on LuLu.com for anyone interested in purchasing a hard copy.

If you are paying for your subscription by check or money order, please send $20 to PearTree Press, P.O. Box 540052, Orlando, FL 32854-0052.

When I see each new issue, I think, "How will they top this?"-and somehow the next issue DOES. I think this issue coming out today will stop the press!
For all the people who ask how we can be interested in such an old, cold case- I can say that fresh, good material is coming out all the time for those patient and determined enough to dig it out.
And for those just interested in Fall River and Victoriana, there is a wealth of great articles to amuse and enlighten.

Yes SHELLEY:

The Journal of Lizzie Borden Studies is a landmark publication on the Borden case.

As the Hatchet matures, it builds more and more on it's prestige as a active scout in new discoveries in Borden research, and on its reputation as the offical gazette in the field of true crime and Victorian study.

The cover on the upcoming issue is going to pleasantly surprise many in Borden land. As much as the last issue made your eyes wide, this cover will cause your peepers to smile.

Along with the cover will come other changes, though small, should propel the Hatchet; making it more tenable and attractive to a greater audience.

Or at least that is how excited I feel about this upcoming issue.
