I collected these before I left town for you'all and did want to get them posted here, now. I had to re-find them in my files!
These are PDF downloads, and may be rather large in size.
If the print looks too small, Adobe should give you the option of enlarging the page... from say...60% to 125%
These are newspaper stories- read at your own risk. I do like all the other contemporary stories on the page as well!

I hope these are working for you. It was good searching, keeping my mind off other things.
This will take time loading. The picture of Lizzie is nice.

It worked just fine for me, Kat. Easy to download and enlarges just fine once its in PDF format. Good reading material too, thanks for sharing.

ok, I must be doing something incorrectly. I hit the download & all I get is a blank screen with a symbol in the upper left corner. Anybody got any ideas of what I'm doing?

Lorraine, do you have the Adobe Acrobat PDF reader downloaded? If not, you can't read the files. If you do have it on your computer and that is what you are seeing, that is beyond my area of expertise, someone else might know?
If you don't have the reader, you can download it here:

Hi Kat -- as you know, my computer system could be classed as antique and has a pretty old version of Adobe Acrobat -- but I was able to access the files. And as Susan says -- they enlarge nicely.
Thanks for the interesting reads!

I have adobe acrobat and still get the same page as Lorraine. Seems like they would make great reading though.

An alternative to the Adobe PDF Reader is Foxit. It is a basic reader and also free. You can purchase additions to the program that will enable you to create PDF documents, annotate them and even convert them (provided they are not locked) to text. Their site is at:
