The Privy and PM's

Post by Debbie »

I know I was away for a long time, but how long do I need to be active before I can again access the privy or send a personal message?
I was going to send a PM about one of my post concerning Harry Potter when I realized I couldn't.

There are new qualifications for sending PM's and access to the Privy. I think it is an active member who has something like 125 or 135 posts. Sorry!

I understand. I'm sure some people do join and then just want to send spam or something and rules are required to help the forum.
It will take me a long time to post over a hundred messages. I type really slow now since I have MS. That's what I was talking about when I posted my message about being back and sometimes life gets in the way. I also have a slight brain fog now as well and can't remember as much as I did about Lizzie and the Borden case.
Thank-you for the answer.
I am happy to be back.

Hi Debbie, welcome back to the forum.

Kat is correct, there are new qualifications for sending a PM and obtaining access into the Privy. In order to be eligible for both, sending a PM and obtaining access to the Privy, you need 126-300 posts. However, you only need 51-125 posts in order to be eligible for the privilege of sending a PM.

I realize this will not be an easy task you, but hang in there, you are doing a great job of posting since your return.

Here is the link to the ursergroup changes along with the reason of why these changes occurred: viewtopic.php?t=2235

Thank-you for the link. As I said before, I can understand the reason for the changes and I agree with them.
Lizzie has been a project for me for a while. I was a Sheriffs deputy several years back when I was younger and wanted to become a detective. I love to figure things out and since Lizzie's case is such a head scratcher, it has always fascinated me.
