Interesting, it worked fine for me, absolutely correct! The numbers in the houses do not correspond with the original color choice numbers. For instance, in the first house, only 1, 4, and 11 were available to be chosen from the original group. Each was a different color. By indicating both the color and the house, the number has been isolated, and it can be the only one of the six in the house which was that color. The door choice could rearrange the three numbers behind the doors when the door is chosen and clicked on as part of the computer program. When you click on any door, the original number, which is already isolated and known, is put in that position with two others moved, if necessary, to the other two positions.

Clear as mud, right?

Yooper's right. It hasn't guessed your number. You've told it your number. Repeating the number aloud and clicking on crystal balls is just added to make it seem more mystical.
I've met Kat and Harry and Stef, oh my!
(And Diana, Richard, nbcatlover, Doug Parkhurst and Marilou, Shelley, "Cemetery" Jeff, Nadzieja, kfactor, Barbara, JoAnne, Michael, Katrina and my 255 character limit is up.)

Yes, it's a simple variation of an old trick. Two of the steps are added for appearance only.

A simple explanation is this:

Say you choose #9 which is green. Make a list of the five numbers that are green.

9, 23, 25, 16, 12

The next step, the picking of the color is one of the fake steps. It's meaningless.

When you choose the house that your number is in make a list of all those numbers.

10, 26, 24, 9, 21, 2

Now compare the two lists and you will see the only number they have in common is #9, your number.

The picking of the crystal ball is also meaningless.

The #9 is put behind all 3 doors and when you select one of the doors the number behind the other 2 is changed from 9 to something else.

Voila!

The only critical step is in making sure only one number of any color appears in any house. Then if, arbitrarily, green is the color, and house number three is where that number appears, the only green number in house number three is obviously the original number. In the mathematical sense, it is the intersection of two sets.
