Oscar G. Mayer, age 95, died Monday, July 6th, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, WI.

I had an apartment in Madison back in the 70's near the Oscar Meyer factory. When the wind was just right the smell of what seemed like old bologna used to penetrate the air. I couldn't eat lunchmeat for years after smelling that.

I'm glad you enjoyed the commercial - it has been my favorite Oscar Mayer Commercial since the first time I saw it. :grin:

Tina-Kate, I also found it hard to believe that little guy is now around 40 years of age. I wonder how he feels about that commercial, now that he is older? :-|

Cindy, I can see how you and your brothers were a target for the cruelty of children. Kids can be down right hateful at times! :sad:

Ellen, I know what you mean about the smell of old bologna coming from the Oscar Meyer Factory - not at all a pleasant smell. :shaking:
