Consider this

Post by LizbethTurner »

The Borden murders are a very popular topic. Many people are interested in them.

And yet here, on this board devoted to that subject, there are only a handful of members.

Ask yourselves why that might be.

I think it's fairly obvious. The newcomer enters, as I did, hoping to find intelligent, thoughtful conversation, but instead finds a very small group of people, two or three of whom know what they're talking about, surrounded by others who are annoyingly mentally deficient. If, like me, they attempt to wade through the illiterate muck to get to the worthwhile discussion, they no doubt find the effort unrewarding. They leave - most of them, unlike me, quietly and without fanfare.

At the end of the day, there can only be one reason why a forum about such a popular subject has so few members:

It's just not a nice place to be.

However, those of you who want to keep bashing me because I spoke out about what others are PMing about, go ahead. I have never revealed the substance or the sender of a PM and I never will. I hope some of you manage to find the courage to speak out publicly about the elephant in the room here, and thereby make this a place where intelligent people feel welcome.

Or you could keep letting it devolve into a nasty clique of childish moaning. Your choice.

I think it's a real shame to let a board, which could be so interesting and worthwhile, turn into a cesspit.

Oh, give it a REST!!! I've been on this board for YEARS...and it goes through it's ups and downs. Some time periods are very quiet....other are very active. Never has it had ANYTHING to do with any one particular member. Some of those who were most active and knowledgeable are very busy in their personal lives right now...others drift in and out. IF you had been here as long as I have, you would know that, and you would realize how foolish your mudslinging appears to those of us who HAVE been here a long time. Troublemakes come and go...when they cause too much conflict they are banned! You might keep that in mind next time you feel like going on a crap-slinging spree!

I don't know why you have such a h--d-on for Snokkums, but apparently you do. However, it's pretty obvious that you are the typical bully....you seek out the weaker person..someone you know you can name call, intimidate and act superior to, knowing it will upset them. And I'm sure you take delight in doing it. Gives you a feeling of superiority, doesn't it? Makes one wonder why you are back all of a sudden....you must be down in the dumps and need to victimize someone in order to feel better about yourself.

Your amazement at why no one goes along with your childish, bullying behavior is very interesting. It probably never occurred to you that most of us on here are not bullies ourselves, and when we see someone trying to bully someone more vulnerable, we "circle the wagons". It has nothing to do with cliques.....it has to do with common decency, which you so obviously are lacking in.

Perhaps you might have had something to offer this board....in the future, on other boards, you might try a more polite approach...your high handed, superior, nasty tactics on here earned you nothing but scorn...regardless of how intelligent you may think you are. Learn something from it!

If you don't like what is going on on the board LizbethTurner, why don't you just go away? Stay off the board. Go somewhere else, I couldn't care less one way or the other.

Gosh. Now I feel really bad. I guess I'm just not up to your intellectual or moral standards.

Thank God for THAT!!

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. :axeman:
Did she or didn't she?

That is the question!

I've been in and out of the forum for a very long time. Working 12 hour shifts cuts into fun time, so needless to say I'm not on too often anymore. However---I have to post this after reading this whole topic. When I was new to this forum EVERYONE made me feel welcome & never ever laughed at any question no matter how trivial. I was always treated with respect and sure enough someone always came up with an answer for me. I like these people ALOT for all their knowledgeable answers and their friendship. If you don't like it then leave, no use getting an ulcer over it. Go find another forum.
