Christmas at the Bordens

Post by snokkums »

I don't think I have ever seen anything posted on how the Bordens spent their Christmas. Does anyone have any ideas? Wonder what it was like before parents were killed. Not really getting alongwith Abby, I am wondering if the girls opened thier persents alone, or if they got any at all. And,what about after they moved into Maplecroft? Just curious.

I would expect a quiet observance based on the age and general nature of the patriarch. I'm not sure if" Parallel Lives" sheds any light on this subject. I still have to tackle it in a serious way as I have only skimmed it.

I think that you are right. But I also think that maybe Lizzie might have wanted to do more. LIke Christmas caroling and the like. Wonder what she would have done after Daddy was dead.
