Descendants of the Borden family
Why does it seem like mental illness plays such a big part in this family. On the side I am related to the bordens I have one murderer, and several who suffered delusions. Richard Borden Sr. Is a great grandfather of mine. :)

The Borden family of fall river are not known for any mental illness that I know of. A murderer is not necessarily plague with mental illness. It is more than likely that the opposite is true. The fall river Borden's were blessed with very successful stations of power, prosperity, influence and office.
Whether Lizzie committed the murders or planned them does not relegate her to the halls of cerebral illness. Nor is eccentricity or peculiar behavior a sign posts to insanity or an indication of a disturbed mind. Of course, you may have knowledge that is not known to many of us. But, in my historical studies fo the Borden family I can't remember one based in mental illness. If so, it is a recent discovery and one which has plagued recent Borden's.
