MB (or any other Fall River citizens)....are you aware of an existing photo which shows the view into the cellar washroom that Hyde had when he watched Alice & Lizzie and then Lizzie alone, visit the cellar August 4th night? He apparently watched them thru both the east window next to cellar exit door and the first cellar window on the south side of the house.
Is the washroom sink still in the current cellar?

Based on his testimony, I'm guessing he stood 3-5 ft away from the windows.

Yes could have been from three to four feet.
He would need to stoop down a little to get a good look. (they had a lantern in their face and being out in the dark Hyde would not be seen) The cellar windows are about one foot high and almost three feet wide and very close to the ground. The east side of the house is the back of the house.

Here's an excellent article by Kat Koorey about the cellar. (though there was no sink along the back wall where you see it in the diagram in Lizzie's day. There would be a basin at the fireplace structure with a bowl which could be heated. There is probably where Lizzie went)

Love the article & photo and it saves me time......I was in the process of sketching out where everything seemed to be located based on testimony and now I've got Kat's much better version!!! Many many thanks!
