Haulover Beach

For some reason, our local news broadcasts have been concentrating on film out of Haulover Beach, in South Florida, for Hurricane Rita pictures. There's one live shot they kept showing today of 3 palm trees blowing in the wind and lots of sand around them. I was wondering if Eugene would recognize those 3 palm trees!

those rocks are at the south end of the beach, near where the channel was cut through, so they didn't have to keep hauling the boats over.

i've never seen the water like that though.
