The Arrogance of the Globe and News bias

The Globe made it more or less plain that Lizzie was guilty. But what springs up like a bad coil spring was it's future reports about the case, such as the one it posted in it's publication in 1905.

There were no Borden Murders!
Both the victims of 13 Years Ago
Died as the Result of Excessive Heat!

But I can't stop thinking about such reporting, the similarities, and the publication of Lunday's little book. Was Lunday really Edwin Porter?

Harry has a made a point of collecting these annual articles. It's another aspect of the case which interests him, like you, Michael.

Yes Kat, I have a friend who, though he does not sound his opinion on this forum, is an expert on Lizzie Borden studies, and the identity of Todd Lunday fascinates him as much as it does me. He says he thinks he my be close to disclosing who Lunday really was.............but he does not seem to volunteer any information, and in respect, I don't ask.

I always thought that it was someone from the Globe. The little adds that the Globe post every year on the anniversary of the murders appear a little reminiscent of Lunday's style. I felt at one time it was someone like one of the lawyers or judges, but that is probably unlikely, but Porter would have been a good candidate as author of that little satirical publication
