lizzie journal?

Post by snokkums »

I am reading "Did Lizzie Axe For It" and the book it makes a mention of Lizzie writing poetry and the like. It also makes a mention of lizzie keeping a journal for every year of her life. It doesn't say anything about rebuking this, so does anyone know if she kept one? I mean if she was writing poetry, and also she was an avid reader, this would be keeping in step with this type of personality.

Which version of this book are you referring to? The first 179 page one or the second 280 page one? And what page in which version is the article? Thanks!

Lizzie was known to be a voracious reader. One kind of book she liked was the romance novel. One, "The Rosary", can be read for free online at the Gutenburg (sp?) Project. Another, "House of a Thousand Candles" I purchased from I believe Abe Books.com for a buck and a half, and it is a 1905 edition in very good condition.

I've never heard of her keeping a journal. I have never seen any poetry she may have written. I have never heard of her writing poetry.

There was, however, a piece in a newspaper that said Lizzie was writing a play at one time. It was either a rumor or she didn't finish it. Nothing ever came of it.
