Exactly 113 years ago today the jury found Lizzie A. Borden "Not Guilty".

Will they still be discussing the case in another 113 years?

Probably.

Harry
I hope so,
At least for the next 20 or 30 years
What else would I do with my spare time?
Why did Mrs Howell pack so many clothes for just a three hour tour ??

Thanks for the reminder, Harry...

It hadn't even occured to me what today's date is. Truth be told, half the time I have to stop to think what YEAR it is...

Harry, I think the case will be discussed until it is solved! Given the past 113 years without an absolute solution, I don't doubt that it could be a topic 113 years hence.

I've often wondered what emotions she experienced when the verdict was given. I guess it depends on whether it was the right or wrong verdict!

Thanks for the reminder Har!
It's also the Summer Solstice, as it was in 1892.

In the last 6-7 years I've been noticing this column in the newspaper about famous events of the past.
June 20 has the item about Lizzie being found not guilty.
August 4 has the item about the Borden murders, and Lizzie being found not guilty.
Many people know little about the case, and assume the Lizzie jingle tells the whole story. "Wasn't she hanged for killing her parents?"
It was Farmer William in the Bedroom with the Hatchet.
