mouse woes
My mouse, my beloved mouse, my right hand, died yesterday. Right in the middle of me getting out the Hatchet and working on my talk for next week! It was a button issue. I killed the left button. I would click it and nothing would happen on the screen. It had been ill for a while now, and yesterday it bit the dust. boo hoo.
So I hopped in my jalopy and went to compusa and the doofus man told me that the HP mouse I wanted would work with my mac but just not all 5 buttons. I said, cool. I don't need five buttons but I do want the wireless optical rechargeable mouse as it felt good in my hands and it was set up like the old one, but not quite.
There were no drivers on the HP website for my mac so I plugged it in and all was well until I started working with quicktime and keynote and iTV and all hell broke loose. After I brought it home I had trashed the box and the disk which did me no good because I thought all was well. Please don't lecture me about keeping packaging until one is absolutely sure the item will work. This is honestly the first time I ever got rid of that stuff so soon, and it will also be my last!
So this morning I tried to find a solution and realized it was the compatibility of the damn thing.
So I went to office max and bought a logitech which swings both ways, if you know what I mean---and my mac is happy. And a happy mac is a joy to behold.
But I have this brand new HP optical, rechargeable, wireless mouse (very pretty by the way) that I cannot use. Does anyone need one? It cost me 58 bucks with tax but for any of you, I would go as low as $35, plus shipping. I just don't want to go all the way back to that store and beg for credit without the packaging.
Remember, it works well only with a PC.

So, how is your mouse working out, Stefani? I had a Logitec corded mouse with my old HP and even though it was not made for Windows XP it worked just fine. My current mouse is an HP cordless.
Hmmm... maybe you ought to think about switching to a PC.
