Okay, I give up. How do you put a quote up for yourself at the bottom of your posts that stays up there until you change it?

You mean a signature? You add those by editing your profile. Just open that, scroll down until you find this: Signature:
This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit
. Scribble in there and poof...all done.

I knew it. Things do not happen to me like a normal person. I scrolled, Doug. I scrolled. And there is no such word as "signature" on my profile page.

Sherry? Are you looking at the public end of the profile? The spot you need to be looking in (or for) is on the main page, where you'd see for example Welcome augusta You last visited: Tue Oct 16, 2007 at whatever time it was. That is where (and how) you get into your editable profile. Make sense? Click on your "augusta" link there. Nobody else has that but you.

Augusta, this is how I put my signature in...

01. Type up your quote in the postreply box at the bottom of this thread
02. Highlight, choose a color, etc., if you want
03. Do a preview to see how it is going to look
04. Highlight your text, then right click your mouse; Cut your finalized quote from the postreply box
05. Back out of this topic - back out until you get to the main page
06. Under the Menu section. go into your profile
07. Scroll down to the Profile Information section
08. Right under the word, Birthday, you will find the word Signature

NOTE: Below the information under signature, you'll find the following, which I have mine set at...
HTML is Off
BB Code is On
Smiles are On

09. Right click your mouse, then Paste your quote in the box provided
10. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and Submit.

I hope these directions are of help to you.

THANK YOU, twinsrwe and Doug! I don't know how everyone figured it out, how to do it. There aren't any directions on here, are there?

You're quite welcome, Augusta. There aren't any directions on the forum, that I know of. I had to play around with it, quite awhile, until I discovered how to do it. Once I figured out the basics, then I decided to try typing the quote up in the postreply box, so that I could put it in a blue font, and Italics. I think you will find it is not at all hard to do.

I hope my directions are clear and I didn't miss any steps. Let me know if you have any problems. Good luck!!!
