I started 11/26 ---I guess I was excited when I wroete 11/27...lol

Thank you for asking, Steve...that is sweet!

It's going very well. They keep saying that they are thrilled to have me, and it seems like a good place to work. My first week is Orientation. Today we learned a form of safe physical management... how to keep a client from strangling you, how to avert a punch, how to take a person down to the floor and restrain them in a wrap up blanket safely... I am getting too old for this sort of thing! I am sore!

Glad to hear you are fitting in, Terrie. The first few days are always the toughest but you will get in the swing of things.

You are 43 and you're "too old?" Wait until you get into your fifties. Snap, crackle and pop! Self-defense is a good thing for everyone to learn, especially women, with all the freaks crawling out of the gutter. I always wanted to take a course but I already have a wonderful built-in defense system.

Hang in there Terrie. Let us know how things progress for you.
