This "Historian, author and former Van Buren Police Dept. detective ..." needs to spend some time on this forum. Many facts wrong. Some hilarious but not by intent.

Just as an example: She thinks Bridget's name was really Maggie and that the Bordens called all their maids Bridget. Duh....

That was great, Harry.

Has anyone ever tried to determine who has written an account of the Borden case that contained the greatest number of factual errors?

This one would certainly be in the running.
I've met Kat and Harry and Stef, oh my!

She should write for Wikipedia.

We do have to cut Horste a LITTLE slack since the quotes are from a journalist, William Zilke, who was taking notes in the audience. We don't know the exact words spoken by the detective.

Oh, that was just terrible! I would expect those kind of mistakes in a middle school child's book report. Thanks for the laugh, Harry. For some reason the level of awfulness reminded me of an old Saturday Night Live character; Leonard Pinth Garnell played by Dan Aykroyd, who introduced really bad pieces of art or literature. As Leonard would have said, "There... That wasn't so good now, was it?" :lol:
