Annie Sullivan - the "good" Lizzie?

Post by Bob Gutowski »

I'm referring, of course, to the recently-discovered photo of Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan, circa 1888. Annie's hairstyle is similar to Lizzie's, and it's interesting just to compare the face of someone who's known for overcoming personal hardship to become a world famous teacher with someone who seems to have been a very, very unhappy person.

I know I ask perfection of a quite imperfect world
And fool enough to think that's what I'll find
