Yes, BrianKLoftin: That's very well done. But, it's not my favorite out of the group of music listed. Though, it's a very catchy tune. The guy can really sing. He has a good voice and can more than carry a tune. Something that is very lacking today.

Sounds a little like Marilyn Manson, though I may not know what I am talking about. My interest and ear to tune stopped just short of "A Flock of Seagulls. Though, the singer here has a better voice than Marilyn.

I'm pretty much stuck in the 70s. New music comes very slow and hard to me. As Don McClean had sung: "But I knew I was out of luck the day the music died." And music died for me in the 80s.

The newest music I have been listening to is by an Irish artist Damien Rice. Real depressing, somber, bleak, heart wrenching stuff. But, I love it.

Below is the only M. Manson song I like, an old tune which was recorded by countless artists, though I have not heard that much by Manson.

The Rice song was made popular in the movie CLOSER. Love angry Irish Rockers. (Though he is folk)

But as I was saying above, for which I take back......

Not sure what I was smoking the day I listened to MM do I PUT A SPELL ON YOU. Awful, awful version. But, did I mention I like it?

I PUT A SPELL ON YOU was written in the 50s by crazy man SCREAMING JAY HAWKINS.

HAWKINS was a pioneer of shock performance during his concerts. Many rockers, like Alice Cooper, copied and performed outlandish productions for which Hawkins was probably an influence. Of course, today it is common and expected.

I PUT A SPELL ON YOU was probably recorded by more people than any other song. At least it seems that way.

My favorite version is by Arthur Brown. (Also a pioneer on the stage) Some might have heard of him. He had an act called THE CRAZY WORLD OF ARTHUR BROWN, where he would light this helmet on his head on fire, which made it look like his head was on fire.



He would then sing his biggest and only hit, FIRE. FIRE went to number one in the UK and was a big hit here in the late 60s.

Arthur does an excellent version of I PUT A SPELL ON YOU. Actually my favorite.
