Lizzie for Halloween

I have collected quite a large number of images of people who dress up as Lizzie Borden, either as a character in a Halloween haunted house/amusement park, or as a private individual out for a good scary time. Invariably, these image appear on the web and I wish to share a few of them with you. Some are quite inventive, most are scary, and all involve blood.

The first image is the one you can purchase (for only $39.99) but it is currently out of stock. It is sold through CostumesInc.com. Every once in a while you see this one on eBay as well.

This lady would be extra scary if she weren’t smiling, but then she is enjoying the kill isn’t she?

This lady got down and dirty with her portrayal. This would scare the bejesus out of me if I wasn’t expecting it!

This sad and lonely Lizzie looks like she needs someone to attack.

This simple ghoul is from Haunted Charleston. I guess she makes her appearance nightly.

And last but not least (I am sure there will be a part two to this post), here is a fraternity Halloween party. I love the juxtaposition of history here. Oh, and the watch and glasses on Ceasar.

Mondo Lizzie Borden, Episode 7: NOT Lizzie Borden

Being a collector of the weird and fabulous as it relates to the Borden case, I have files of these images saved during the past twenty years. And I would like to share them with you now. Laugh, gasp, chuckle, or rage, these photos were all on eBay. For a price. I used to write the sellers and let them know they didn’t have a Lizzie, but soon gave up on that practice. They didn’t care. Even though they were committing fraud by the sale of the image as a true Lizzie Borden. Oh well.

Here we go. Enjoy.
