1st. 1892, Grand Jury reconvenes, Alice Russell testifies

2nd. 1992, Lizzie Borden indicted

3rd. 1892, while attempting to board a moving train in Canada, William Henry Trickey dies  (R166)

4th. 1924, David M. Anthony, Jr. dies from a fractured skull he receives in a motorcycle accident, at the age of 54  (R139)

4th. 1927, Lizzie’s estate sells the A. J. Borden Building (R166)

6th. 1882, Abraham Bowen Borden dies at the age of 84 (R3)

7th. 1784, Allan Cunningham, author of “Home, Home, Home” is born in Scotland (R324)

8th. 1919, Helen Brownell dies in Fairhaven at the age of 81 (Emma visited her during the murders) (R83)

11th. 1901, Judge Caleb Blodgett dies (R194)

12th. 1892, Morse arrives in Hastings, Iowa, returning to Fall River to testify in June 1893 (R70)

16th. 1837, John Wilkes Hammond, Judge of the Superior Court in New Bedford to which Lizzie pled “Not Guilty” to three indictments, is born in Mattapoisett, MA (R183)

18th. 1902, Hosea Knowlton dies in Marion, MA at the age of 55 (R194)

22nd. 1860, Sarah Sawyer Gray, Priscilla and Abby’s mother, dies at the age of 66 (R23)

25th. 1845,  Andrew Jackson Borden marries Sarah Durfee Gray  (R6)

28th. 1898, Lurana dies in Fall River at the age of 72 (R3)

30th. 1912, Rufus Hilliard dies in Fall River at the age of 62  (R149)

2nd. 1984, Barbara Hunt Watters, author of The Astrologer Looks at Murder,  dies at the age of 77 (R171)

2nd. 1905, Judge Albert Mason dies of pneumonia at the age of 69  (R193)

4th. 1894, George H. Fish, sister to Abby and husband of Priscilla B. Gray, dies  (R23)

6th. 1853, William H. Medley is born in Oldham, England (R150)

7th.  1913, Mrs. Judith Russell, mother of Alice, dies (R63)

8th.  1888, Mary Augusta (Lee) Demarest, author of “My Ain Countree,” dies at 50  (R323)

8th. 1923, Miss Helen Smith, servant at Maplecroft from 1917-1920, dies of TB at the age of 39 (R289)

10th. 1834, George Dexter Robinson is born in Lexington, MA (R198)

18th. 1865, Eli Bence is born in Braintree, MA (R80)

21st. 1828, Abby Durfee Gray, second wife to Andrew Borden, is born in Fall River (R 23)

21st. 1929, Ellen Eagan dies in Fall River at the age of 74 (R129)

21st. 1941, Alice Russell dies at the age of 89 (R63)

23rd. 1923, Hyman Lubinsky, the ice cream peddler who passed by 92 Second St. the morning of the murders, dies of TB in Fall River at the age of 49 (R88)

25th. 1894, Priscilla (Gray) Fish, Abby’s sister, dies at the age of 74  (R23)

26th. 1854, Lurana, age 27, marries Hiram Harrington

30th. 1907, Hiram Harrington dies at the age of 78 (R3)
