It's hot, but I think I'll just run down to the drug store this morning. There are a few things I need to pick up. (Hope that snotty Bence isn't working today...)

Make sure you ask about prussic acid. I hear it's good for...killing....ooops...I mean cleaning sealskin capes.

I heard your Uncle John was in town and will stop at the house (yes AGAIN!) so you may want to be out of the way when he comes.

Why don't you stop and see Alice tonight? I'm sure she'd like you to bring her up to date on your plans.

And don't forget...you have screens that need fixing. I'll bet there are things in the bahn that could help with that...but I guess that can wait until tomorrow.

My fortune cookie reads, "Tomorrow is a good day to look for lead sinkers for your upcoming fishing trip. And tonight's a good time to visit friends who live around the corner."

Mrs. Borden's fortune said, "Tomorrow morning is a bad day to replace pillow covers."

Oh Land Sakes-not Uncle Morse again..And in this heat! Just the thought of his horse face at the breakfast table...Lord preserve me from uncharitable thoughts. Yes, I suppose it'll have to be Alice's again, can't bear Marion, those insipid little sycophants with their brainless chatter and, "Lizzie, is somehing wrong?" and "Lizzie, you haven't cracked a smile all week!" I'd like to crack something else...Oh Lord preserve me from these thoughts!
Alice, an insufferable bore! God, I want to go to the theater, or something!!

You should also check out the sale at Sargent's. You may be able to pick up some cheap dress goods.

Those windows are terribly dirty, you should have them washed. It's too late to get started on them tonight, get Bridget to do them in the mourning.

Angel's avatar looks like a young Elizabeth Montgomery- our own Lizzie Borden?
