It's hot, but I think I'll just run down to the drug store this morning. There are a few things I need to pick up. (Hope that snotty Bence isn't working today...)

I heard your Uncle John was in town and will stop at the house (yes AGAIN!) so you may want to be out of the way when he comes.
Why don't you stop and see Alice tonight? I'm sure she'd like you to bring her up to date on your plans.

Oh Land Sakes-not Uncle Morse again..And in this heat! Just the thought of his horse face at the breakfast table...Lord preserve me from uncharitable thoughts. Yes, I suppose it'll have to be Alice's again, can't bear Marion, those insipid little sycophants with their brainless chatter and, "Lizzie, is somehing wrong?" and "Lizzie, you haven't cracked a smile all week!" I'd like to crack something else...Oh Lord preserve me from these thoughts!Harry @ Thu Aug 03, 2006 12:27 pm wrote:I heard your Uncle John was in town and will stop at the house (yes AGAIN!) so you may want to be out of the way when he comes.

Alice, an insufferable bore! God, I want to go to the theater, or something!!

You should also check out the sale at Sargent's. You may be able to pick up some cheap dress goods.Kashesan @ Thu Aug 03, 2006 7:17 am wrote:It's hot, but I think I'll just run down to the drug store this morning.
