THANK YOU!

Post by SallyG »

Just a quick thank you for the belated birthday wishes from the Administration. Happy 50th to me! I can't believe I'm 50. I remember when my grandmother was 50!! I remember when my mother was 50!! Jeez...where does the time go? Oh, well..fortunately, I still feel 25...except when I get out of bed in the morning...how can you get so stiff and sore just sleeping!!

So sorry I missed the day. At times that info at the bottom gets crowded.

Happy Birthday, SallyG!!!

Thank you so much...but don't apologize...my boys can never seem to remember my birthday...I just call them on the 17th and say "Hi, (insert name), just calling so you can say Happy Birthday to me!" I always get a sheepish "Uhhh...oh, right...it's your birthday...Happy Birthday, Mom!"

Welcome to the "50 Club," Sally! I know EXACTLY what you mean about those aches and pains incurred by sleeping!

Happy Birthday!

I'm sorry you and Stuart are waking with aches and pains.
Not me!
I use foam on top of my mattress.
I know others who have converted to that too- and get great relief!
No need to wake in pain!
Get one of those thick "egg-crate Foam" for a mattress topper - 6" is optimum- usually to be had at a medical supply store or online- or you can go as light as 3" deep at Wal-Mart or Bed Bath & Beyond.
There now is that Memory Foam too, as a mattress topper. That is new- space age. I heard that stuff is a life-saver!

Good luck! It's worth every penney.

I've tried that, Kat. Egg crate foam, memory foam..all to no avail. The only thing that ever helped my back was my good old free floating waterbed....ahhhhhhhh! But that is long gone. Now we have a deep pillow top mattress....and of course when I get up in the morning I feel like I've been run over by a truck.

I have pillow-top and foam.
Hmm...
I guess the next stop is Motrin?
What is that little flower-looking button at the bottom of your posts?

The little flower looking button? Ahhh...that's my ICQ instant messaging button. I must have put my ICQ info into my profile.

Happy Birthday, Sally! Being 50 is GREAT - when you consider the alternative ...

Hope it was a good one!

Very nice. My husband made lobster tails with butter, jumbo shrimp, and NY strip steak. Throw in a few frozen margaritas, and the day was perfect!

Many Happy Returns on your natal anniversary as you reach the half-century mark. Now people have to take us seriously! We command respect from the youngsters, being now officially "Crones" and red hat ladies! I have one word of advice- glucosamine!

Happy Birthday, Sally, from one Lioness to another! Sounds like you had a wonderful day, frozen margaritas and all that yummy food to boot!
